My name is Preston Hocker. I've been serving as a pastor for 20 years in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am also  private investigator, armed security officer and personal protection specialist. Lead Security is an effort to marry my two passions: ministry and security. I wanted to couple what I know from being in the field as an investigator and what most would call a "bodyguard", with my lifetime of experience in ministry as both pastor's kid and church staffer.

I understand how it feels to work at a church and rely on "Self-Leadership". If I wanted to grow, it was up to me to take action, find mentors and discover resources. Honestly, this was frustrating for me. Is this your story? We all need community, connection and direction. I don't think it's right for you to try to build a Church Security Team in isolation. I believe everyone deserves to have an experienced and engaged mentor in their life. You CAN become a stronger leader. You just need someone to pour into your life, listen to your story and provide you with a sense of accountability. I would be honored to walk with you in ministry.
